Peace in the Wild Participant Agreement & Waiver

By registering for or participating in any Peace in the Wild program, event, trip, or activity, whether conducted locally, nationally, or internationally (collectively, “Experiences”), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to all terms, policies, and waivers outlined in this Agreement. This document constitutes a legally binding agreement between you (“Participant”) and Peace in the Wild, LLC (“Peace in the Wild”).

By completing registration or making any payment, you agree that your participation is conditional upon full compliance with this Agreement. This Agreement is effective immediately upon your registration, signature, or electronic acknowledgment and is enforceable under the laws of the State of Georgia, U.S.A.

1. Assumption of Risk

I understand that participation in Peace in the Wild activities—including group recreation, outdoor events, indoor classes, volunteer efforts, and international trips—carries inherent risks that may result in injury, illness, disability, or death. I affirm that I am medically fit, properly trained, and capable of participating. These risks include, but are not limited to:

  • Injury, disability, or death from activities or equipment use

  • Equipment failure or malfunction

  • Exposure to weather, natural or man-made hazards, animals, or insects

  • Negligence by myself or others, including misjudgment of terrain or conditions

  • Remote locations with limited access to medical care

  • Fatigue, dizziness, or other conditions affecting my response time

I acknowledge that this list is not exhaustive, and that unknown risks may exist.

2. Release of Liability / Indemnification

In consideration of my participation, I agree to:

  • Release and hold harmless Peace in the Wild, its officers, employees, volunteers, agents, and affiliates from any claims, injuries, disabilities, death, or property damage arising from my participation.

  • Waive any claims against Peace in the Wild and associated parties, regardless of cause.

  • Indemnify Peace in the Wild and related parties against any claims, costs, or damages resulting from my involvement.

3. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Peace in the Wild experiences are thoughtfully designed and require detailed coordination with trusted partners to maintain the integrity and quality of programming locally, nationally, and internationally.

  • Cancellation by Peace in the Wild: Participants will receive a full refund if Peace in the Wild cancels an event or trip.

  • Cancellation by Participant: All payments are final and non-refundable. No refunds, credits, or transfers will be provided for cancellations, no-shows, or changes in personal circumstances. Bookings cannot be transferred to other events, dates, or participants.

4. Travel Insurance Requirement

For any Peace in the Wild program, trip, or event that is multi-night, out of state, or international, I understand that proof of valid travel insurance is required to participate. I further acknowledge that failure to provide proof of coverage does not alter the non-refundable nature of payments or my financial obligations.

5. Declaration of Fitness

I confirm that I am physically fit and capable of participating in Peace in the Wild activities. I maintain medical insurance covering accidents and illnesses during participation. I understand Peace in the Wild has not assessed my fitness or ability to participate, and I assume responsibility for all medical expenses not covered by insurance. I will disclose any medical conditions that may affect my participation and will not attend if experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or other health issues. I agree to notify guides immediately of any illness or injury during activities.

6. Media Release

I grant Peace in the Wild irrevocable permission to use photographs, videos, or recordings of me taken during activities for promotional, marketing, or educational purposes. I waive rights to inspect or approve use and to receive compensation. I release Peace in the Wild from any liability related to the use of such media.

7. Dispute and Legal Action

By registering for any Peace in the Wild program, trip, or event, I acknowledge and agree to all terms and payment conditions, including that all deposits and payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing.

I also agree not to initiate any payment dispute, chargeback, or reversal through my bank, credit card company, or any other financial institution for any authorized transaction. Any such action constitutes a breach of this agreement.

If a participant files a false, invalid, or unauthorized dispute, Peace in the Wild reserves the right to pursue legal action to recover all associated costs, including but not limited to the full amount owed, administrative expenses, legal fees, and any other recoverable damages.

8. Registration & Agreement Acknowledgment

By registering for or paying for any Peace in the Wild program, trip, or event, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to all terms and conditions, and that your participation is conditional on full compliance with this agreement.
