Camping in the Wild

Join Peace in the Wild for our first community campout! Over two days, we’ll ease into nature, learn hands-on skills, and connect with an intentional community on 50 acres of Black-owned land. Whether it’s your very first time camping or you’re a pro, this adult-only experience will meet you where you are and provide a space where you feel grounded, supported, and at home in the wild.

  • Cost: $130

  • Dates: September 13–14 (Saturday to Sunday)

  • Location: City and ZIP included in this posting. Full address provided after registration for safety. About 1.5 hours from Midtown Atlanta.

  • Experience Level: All skill levels, genders, and abilities are welcome.

  • Check-in: 3 PM on Saturday

  • Check-out: 12 PM on Sunday

  • Ages: Adults only, 21+

  • Dogs: Not allowed

  • Weather: Rain or shine

  • Because this is an overnight experience, please register individually so we can track all attendees accurately.

What’s Included

  • 50 private acres (Black and woman-owned)

  • Dinner, breakfast, and snacks (vegan + vegetarian options)

  • Hands-on camping and facilitated workshops

  • Yoga, meditation, and guided wellness sessions

  • Archery, hiking, and campfire

  • Bathrooms and a shower

  • Community gathering space for meals and activities

Not Included:

  • Lodging (bring your own tent)

  • Linens, towels, toiletries

  • Meals outside of what’s listed

  • Transportation to and from the campsite

  • Personal camping gear

  • Travel or gear insurance
